Japan Easy Support is a multilingual relocation and daily-life support service based in Osaka, Japan, operated by Jeremy Bouissou ("we", "us", "our"). We can be reached at contact@japan-easy-support.com.

When you create an account or use our services, we may collect the following personal data: • Name and email address (provided during registration or via Google OAuth) • Appointment details: type, date, time, duration, notes, and preferred language • Subscription status and payment history • Session and login data (managed by Auth.js) • IP address and browser information (collected anonymously by our analytics service — see Section 6)

We process your data on the following legal bases under GDPR Article 6: • Contract performance (Art. 6(1)(b)): to deliver the services you have requested, including appointment scheduling and member area access. • Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)): to send transactional emails (booking confirmations, cancellation notices, welcome emails) and to maintain site analytics. • Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)): to comply with applicable laws in Japan and the European Union. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties for marketing purposes.

We use the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies: • Google (OAuth, Calendar API, Drive API) — authentication and calendar/file management • Resend — transactional email delivery • Railway — cloud hosting and PostgreSQL database • Behold — Instagram feed widget (loaded only with your consent) • Umami Analytics — privacy-first, cookie-free page analytics (no personal data stored)

We use the following cookies: • Session cookie (strictly necessary): manages your login session via Auth.js. No consent required. • remember_me (functional): keeps you signed in across sessions if you opt in. No consent required. • cookie_consent (strictly necessary): stores your cookie preference. No consent required. • Behold Instagram widget: may set third-party cookies when loaded. Requires your consent — you can accept or decline via the banner shown on your first visit. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

We use Umami Analytics, a privacy-first open-source analytics platform. Umami does not use cookies, does not collect personal data, and does not track users across websites. Data collected includes page views, time on page, referrer, device type, and browser — all anonymised and aggregated. No consent banner is required for Umami under GDPR.

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at contact@japan-easy-support.com. Anonymous analytics data may be retained indefinitely as it contains no personal information.

If you are located in the European Union or European Economic Area, you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation: • Right of access — obtain a copy of the data we hold about you • Right to rectification — correct inaccurate or incomplete data • Right to erasure — request deletion of your personal data • Right to restriction of processing — limit how we use your data • Right to data portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format • Right to object — object to processing based on legitimate interest • Right to lodge a complaint — with your national data protection authority To exercise any of these rights, contact us at contact@japan-easy-support.com. Under Japan's Act on the Protection of Personal Information (APPI), you have the right to request disclosure, correction, addition, deletion, or suspension of use of your personal information held by us. Requests should be directed to contact@japan-easy-support.com.

Your data is stored on servers operated by Railway in the United States. By using our service, you consent to this transfer. We take appropriate measures to ensure your data is protected in accordance with GDPR requirements for international transfers.

Our services are not directed at children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
